I never expected to be a parent before the age of thirty, but I also thought that by the time I became a parent, I would have spent hours and hours and hours trying to figure out how to be an optimal parent. That is what i thought, anyway. But it did not work out that way, for a number of reasons, and I guess I shouldn’t complain too much. But I want to learn as much about parenting as I can, as quickly as I can, because I really feel the need to be the best possible parent. I think that is the only choice really, I have a responsibility to these kids.
Not that long ago and I married a woman that has two beautiful daughters. So I kind got thrown into being a parent, but it is not something I wasn’t ready for. I really do think that i am ready for it. I am dedicated and willing to do everything that I can to be a good parent and to enrich the lives of my stepchildren. Having them in my life has really improved my quality of life and personal happiness.
I am interested in figuring out a source of good parenting information that will help to jump start the process of me learning how to be a great parent. Additionally, my wife and I are planning to have a third child within the next year or so. We hope it will be a boy, but who knows. It is a fifty fifty proposition. Well, actually, I think that statistically slightly more boys are born than girls, but that around age 20, the population distribution between males and females approaches 1:1. It is speculated that this is due to males having slightly higher rates of mortality across evolutionary history.
